The Serinn boutique hotel opened its doors last spring in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey. It integrates cutting-edge design with the intimacy of the natural caves. It has only five guest rooms, each individually designed by Turkish architect Rifat Ergor. Тhe caves have been restored without any structural additions, so that the hotel blends with its natural surroundings. For the rooms have been equipped with plush beds draped with fine cotton linens, fluffy towels and custom-made toiletries, as well as modern facilities including wireless Internet access.

Uberfluss Hotel by Concrete and Kastens+Siemann

The Dutch company Concrete Architectural Associates designed the interior of hotel Uberfluss. The hotel is a six-storey building in Bremen, Germany. The site of the hotel is a combination of two old and two new houses, joined to make one interior space. The architects responsible for developing the site and constructing are Kastens+Siemann Architekten. They have also made the wellness and pool area in the basement of the hotel. The total area is 3000 sq. m. The duration of the construction was 9 months.

The Tides South Beach Hotel debuted a provocative new design in the fall of 2007 by the designer Kelly Wearstler. The new design re-dresses the hotel�s interiors incorporating elements from the sea, rich textures, sunset colours and vintage recreations. The hotel offers 45 luxury suites all offering ocean views.

Spacious accommodations range from oceanfront studio suites of 550 sq. ft. to penthouse suite of 2600 sq. ft. There are personal assistants for all hotel guests.

There are three restaurants � Saldahna Mar for Portuguese cuisine, Bonsai for Japanese meals, and the Gargen restaurant with a water-fall. There is also a bar. The Strata Hotel extension to Residence Konigswarte in Sesto, Italy is clad in horizontal timber slats and was completed by Plasma Studio. Located on a steep hillside in the Italian Dolomites this new-built hotel has been developed as the interweaving of the free-flowing topography- indexed and organized by series of timber strips- and the serial sequence of apartment units perpendicular to it. Since the overall shape was developed from the local planning guidelines, the linear distribution of units and the views and sun directions.▪

As soon as winter begins, a team of snow builders, architects, designers and artists from all over the world gather in the little town of Jukkasjarvi far North of the Arctic Circle. Under the direction of the ICEHOTEL Art & Design Group, they create each year�s version of ICEHOTEL. The building process starts in mid-November when the snow guns start humming and large clouds of snow start to drift along the Torne River. The snow is sprayed on huge steel forms and allowed to freeze. After a couple of days, the forms are removed, leaving a maze of freestanding corridors of snow.

LED lights offer low-level energy operation, 20 times less than a standard light bulb, with a lifespan 100 times greater. The hotel�s electricity consumption is 1.8kw/h. With traditional lighting, this figure would reach 45kw/h.▪

Smolenicky & Partner was chosen from Sempachersee Golf Club to design three new buildings (the clubhouse and restaurant building plus a new maintenance building) and the enlargement that includes a second 18-hole course. That makes Sempachersee Golf Club the largest golf club in Switzerland. The luxurious vibe in the clubhouse building is created by the two U-formed exterior spaces decorated in dark orange. Dark-blue lacquer is chosen for the club members lounge. The project includes a public restaurant, members� dining area and two large entertainment rooms. You can find it approximately 15 km from Lucerne in the heart of Switzerland.

Waterproof plywood panels coated with a synthetic asphalt membrane enclose the structure to provide the best insulation against the rain and wind.
